FAQs
Questions, answered gently
A few of the things couples ask most often before they book.
Yes. We are based in North York and regularly serve the Greater Toronto Area. Travel within the GTA is typically included or discussed as a modest fee depending on distance and timing. Destinations farther afield can often be arranged — please share your venue location during consultation so we can confirm availability and any travel considerations.
A symbolic ceremony includes all the beauty of a wedding celebration — vows, readings, rituals, and a professional officiant — without the legal signing of a marriage licence at that event. Couples choose this when they have already married legally, plan to complete legal formalities separately, or wish to celebrate in a way that is purely about meaning.
We recommend reaching out as soon as your date and venue are reasonably firm — ideally several months ahead for peak wedding season (late spring through early autumn). Intimate mid-week or off-season dates sometimes allow shorter lead times. If your date is soon, contact us anyway; we will be honest about availability.
A full ceremony with officiant typically includes a planning consultation, a custom or guided ceremony script, professional leading of the ceremony (welcome, readings or reflections as chosen, vows, rings, pronouncement), and completion of the legal marriage documentation as required in Ontario. Rehearsal support can be added. Exact inclusions are confirmed in writing for your package.
Absolutely. Many couples prefer a private legal signing — calm and minimal — and a later (or earlier) symbolic celebration with guests. We can support either step or both, ensuring the legal requirements are met correctly and the public moment feels like a true gathering rather than paperwork with flowers.
We specialise in intimate and micro weddings: civil ceremonies, spiritual and interfaith celebrations, vow renewals, symbolic gatherings, simple legal signings, and hybrid formats. Venues range from private homes and gardens to boutique micro venues, restaurants, and quiet outdoor spaces. If your gathering is personal and intentional, we are likely a good fit — large ballroom spectacles are simply not our craft.
A deposit may be required to reserve your ceremony date; the amount and due dates are confirmed in writing when you book. Balance payment timing is stated in your agreement. Accepted methods (such as e-transfer or other agreed options) are discussed at booking. Final deposit percentages and payment rails are marked for client confirmation before launch.
Yes — we guide couples on Ontario marriage licence timing and requirements, and we solemnize and complete the paperwork that is part of a legal ceremony. Optional assistance with marriage certificate application steps can be included when agreed in your package. Scope of certificate assistance is new transparency content for client review.
