These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the AHANSA Life Foundation website and general enquiries made through it. By using this site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. About us

AHANSA Life Foundation provides wedding officiant and related services in and around North York, Ontario. Website content is for general information and does not create a client relationship until a separate written engagement or booking confirmation is in place.

2. Use of the website

You may browse and share links for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not misuse the site (e.g., attempt unauthorized access, introduce malware, scrape content at scale, or submit abusive content).
Content, branding, and design are owned by AHANSA or its licensors and may not be copied for commercial use without permission.

3. No legal advice via website alone

Although our officiant holds professional credentials (licensed paralegal, mediator, Notary), information on this website is not formal legal advice for your specific situation. Ceremony and service details are confirmed in consultation.

4. Bookings & cancellations (placeholder policy)

Until a customized service agreement is issued for your event, the following general framework applies and may be refined in writing:

Enquiry — Contact form or phone enquiries are not guaranteed bookings.
Confirmation — A date is reserved when we confirm availability and you accept the written scope and fee.
Deposits — A non-refundable deposit may be required to hold peak dates (stated in your booking confirmation).
Client cancellation — Cancellations should be provided in writing as early as possible; refunds of remaining balances (if any) depend on notice period and costs already incurred, as set out in your agreement.
AHANSA cancellation — In the rare event we cannot fulfil a confirmed booking (illness, emergency), we will notify you promptly and use reasonable efforts to assist with alternatives or refund fees paid for undelivered services.

Final booking and cancellation terms will always prevail in your signed confirmation over this website summary.

5. Pricing

Ceremonies typically range from $300–$600 CAD, tailored to service level and travel. Quotes are confirmed individually and may change until accepted in writing.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario and Canadian law, AHANSA Life Foundation is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this website or reliance on general website content. Our aggregate liability related to website use is limited to the greater of CAD $100 or amounts you paid us for website-related services (if any) in the three months prior to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7. Third-party links & embeds

The site may embed maps or link to social platforms. We are not responsible for third-party content or privacy practices.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada. Courts in Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections.
